YuDaily watch companion
Your Phoenix.
On your wrist.
Log a set, manage your rest and get a little encouragement while your phone keeps your workout history.
YuDaily is in private testing. Watch installation depends on the beta made available to your account. Public store release remains on hold.
Apple Watch
- Install the latest YuDaily beta through TestFlight on your paired iPhone.
- Open the Watch app on iPhone. Under My Watch, look for YuDaily in Available Apps and tap Install. If it is already installed, open YuDaily on your watch after updating the phone app.
- Open YuDaily on iPhone and start a workout. Keep the phone app open while using watch set and rest controls.
- Open YuDaily on Apple Watch. Swipe between the workout, rest controls, optional heart rate and summary pages.
The Apple companion requires watchOS 10 or later and a compatible paired iPhone. Series 9 and compatible SE models can use it when running a supported watchOS version.
Wear OS
- Use a compatible Wear OS 3 or later watch paired with an Android phone. Watches running other operating systems are not supported by this companion.
- Install both the YuDaily phone app and its separate Wear OS companion from the testing channel provided by Tiger Labs. A phone update alone does not install the watch app.
- For Google Play testing, use the same invited Google account on both devices and install both apps through Play. If Tiger Labs provides direct installers, both phone and watch must use that matching installer channel. Mixing Play and direct packages can prevent pairing because the signing identities may differ.
- Open YuDaily on the Android phone and start a workout. Then open YuDaily on the watch. Keep the phone app open for set and rest controls.
Sets and rest
Choose your reps and weight, then tap Log Set. Wait for the saved confirmation before tapping again. The phone remains the source of your workout history. The watch can add 30 seconds of rest, end rest, and pause or resume the workout. Finish the workout on your phone to save its history.
The animated Phoenix
The Phoenix uses gentle movement while the watch app is active. Motion respects system animation settings and stops when the app is inactive. On Apple Watch it also stops in the reduced-luminance state. Apple Watch Phoenix coaching can be switched off on the heart-rate page, and that choice is remembered.
Optional heart rate
Start watch tracking during an active phone workout and choose which permissions to allow. Measurements depend on the watch, sensor contact and permission choices. A dash means there is no fresh reading; it is not a measurement of zero.
Live heart rate stays on the watch in this companion. Ending Apple Watch tracking can save the strength workout to Apple Health if you allow it. Wear OS tracking uses Health Services; this version does not write a Health Connect workout history. Watch controls and measurements do not yet automatically change your routine or rest time based on vitals.
If the watch does not connect
- Open YuDaily on both paired devices and start the workout on the phone first.
- Check the watch is connected to its paired phone and both apps are updated.
- If a set says save unconfirmed, check the phone before retrying.
- If heart rate is unavailable, set and rest controls can still work. Sensor errors appear in the watch tracking status.
